Lovely people, excellent food. “Foods dear to those in the mode of goodness increase the duration of life, purify one’s existence and give strength, health, happiness and satisfaction. Such foods are juicy, fatty, wholesome, and pleasing to the heart.”
I absolutely love coming here. It doesn’t matter what’s on the menu for the day, it’s always so delicious and the portions are very generous. The service is wonderful and sitting amongst the trees and happy faces is a beautiful way to end the week.
I had the opportunity to volunteering at Big Love Cafe and all I can say is that it was the best experience of my life… As soon as I arrived at Chenrezig my heart started beating slower, feeling the sense of community, love and compassion. I so easy to juste ‘be’ here. I will carry with me the tools I learnt here, knowing the values I want to encourage in my life. please go with an open heart to visit this amazing place and connect with the happy people who live and work there while you learn about Buddhism (and ask for the best carrot cake you could ever have!!)
Good chai, lovely staff and a very relaxing atmosphere.
We stumbled upon this place by accident, had no idea such a place existed so close to home. The staff and volunteers are lovely and welcoming, we really enjoyed our visit here and decided to stay for lunch. It's all vegetarian which was amazing and you usually ring up to register (lunch is 12pm-1pm) Lunch was really lovely too - Thank you!
Incredible tasting food all run by volunteers so don’t expect silver service but sitting in the rainforest eating a gorgeous lunch nourishing my body was an exceptional experience.
Cakes are delicious and super cheap, coffee is great.
It’s John Streleckys „Das Café am Rande der Welt.“ Here it is and it’s wonderful. People seeking for wisdom and answers gathering here, next to the Shenrezig Institute and their library. You’ll have to make your way to it and pay attention to the openings hours (morning to 1.30 pm) on the weekends. But if you followed your path and made it, you have the chance to may find something that brings you closer to what you are looking for. Thank you
